I-695 Baltimore Beltway Widening - Sparrows Point

This is near the Bethlehem Steel Corp., Sparrows Point Plant. Photos taken August 1997.

In this group of photos, a parallel eastbound roadway is being built, including a parallel bridge over Bear Creek, and at-grade construction beside the I-695 Sparrows Point Viaduct. After the new roadway is opened to traffic, the existing viaduct will be removed and a new westbound roadway will be built at grade. Two interchanges are being improved also.
