A plaque at Old Centreville Crossing Shopping Center describing a bit of Centreville Civil War History.  The map on the plaque shows the layout of the road system in Centreville during the Civil War. A close-up of the map on the plaque in the picture to the left of this one.  Old Braddock Road is the current VA 620 Braddock Road, Warrenton Turnpike is the current US 29 Lee Highway and Old Centreville Road still exists in pieces parallel to VA 28 Centreville Road.  The "You Are Here" indication is the location of Old Centreville Crossing Shopping Center.
   
Braddock Road just west of the south entrance to South Riding in Loudoun County.  Here starts the gravel section of Braddock Road to goes until Gun Spring Road about 3 to 4 miles from this point. A typical stretch of Braddock Road in far western Fairfax County.  A narrow country road with no center line.  This picture was taken west of Chantilly National Golf Club in Centreville.
A stretch of the original Braddock Road just north of Union Mill Road in Centreville.  The picture is taken looking to the east.  This section of Braddock Road no longer is the major road.  New Braddock Road just south of this location serves that role. A typical section of Braddock Road in central Fairfax County.  This section was upgraded from 2 to 4 lanes in the past five years.  The picture was taken east of Clifton Road looking to the east.
