I-10 San Bernardino Freeway

The section I rode from I-605 to I-5 is in flat to rolling terrain as it passes through residential and business areas. This has a long stretch of railroad track in the median, both single and double track. On misc.transport.road, a couple California posters said that Metrolink commuter rail uses this. There are HOV lanes, and they vary between both concurrent flow and exclusive 2-lane roadway.

Westbound, approaching the I-710 Long Beach Freeway interchange. Notice left HOV lane and railroad line in median.
